Manos Milo

Milo is a gorgeous single ply yarn, in a 65% merino and 35% linen blend.

The linen unique nature gives Milo a rustic yet elegant look, with its raw fibers and sophisticated metallic shine.

We love the drape of the finished fabric and find it perfect for season spanning projects such as kerchiefs, shawls and lightweight tops.

Thank you to Fairmount Fibers, North American Distributor of Manos del Uruguay yarns for providing product for review.

A little about Manos:

Manos yarns are produced by skilled artisans in cooperatives located throughout Uruguay.

Each skein of yarn purchased helps a woman in Uruguay to support her family.

Bonus points for GREAT photography!

Each skein is signed by the artisan so that you know who made your yarn and which village it came from.

Manos yarn and fiber is certified Fair Trade.

Celebrate 30 years of Cascade yarns!

The first square is live!  This is the first square of the 30 square Knitterati Blanket.  The  blanket commemorates Cascade Yarns’ 30th anniversary.  The 30 squares will be released throughout 2017 as part of the mystery knit along.

Cascade Yarns will be making a donation to Haiti Babi https://haitibabi.org/ equal to the amount that it receives from Ravelry for the sale of this pattern.  Haiti Babi, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to training and employing struggling mothers in Haiti.  Rather than merely providing a meal or housing, Haiti Babi provides training and jobs to moms in Haiti so they can earn a sustainable living wage, provide for their children, and keep their families together.  We encourage you to visit Haiti Babi’s website and to learn more about their cause.  In Haiti, one in ten kids lives in an orphanage, and 80% of kids in orphanages have a parent, or parents, who simply cannot afford to care for them.

Get the next installment of this project for FREE.  Sign up early for Cascade Yarns’ newsletter at www.cascadeyarns.com.  (individual download codes will be published in the newsletter throughout 2017.)
